As a Acting & Directing major, I had the opportunity to bring a capstone project to life. My friend and colleague Catherine O’Connor and I have always loved Urinetown, and the message of the show feels especially important in today’s climate. I produced and directed the production alongside Catherine which featured a passionate, talented, and entirely undergrad cast and crew. We had to bring this production to life from the ground up, so I created a full presentation and budget breakdown in order to help us get funding. We were lucky enough to receive a grant from the IU Funding Board that made all the difference and allowed our production to be as incredible as it turned out to be.
